Description
SGL WLN Agar (Wallerstein Laboratory Nutrient Agar) is a ready-to-use culture medium used for the examination of microbiological flora associated with brewing and fermentation processes. The medium supports the growth of yeasts and bacteria whilst helping laboratories differentiate colonies based on changes in appearance and colour, making it particularly useful when monitoring mixed microbial populations.
WLN Agar is widely used by breweries, distilleries, wineries and fermentation laboratories to assess product quality, investigate spoilage organisms and monitor fermentation performance. It is particularly useful for detecting and differentiating brewing yeasts, wild yeasts and bacterial contaminants that may affect product quality, flavour and shelf life.
Supplied in convenient ready-to-use 300ml bottles, the medium helps reduce preparation time and provides a consistent platform for routine microbiological testing and quality control.
