Description
Sodium hypochlorite, represented by the chemical formula NaClO, consists of a sodium cation (Na+) and a hypochlorite anion (ClO-), or as the sodium salt of hypochlorous acid. In water solution, it's commonly referred to as bleach, liquid bleach, or liquid chlorine, extensively employed as a disinfectant or bleaching agent.
