Description
Oxoid™ Yeast Extract Agar is a versatile, nutrient-rich medium designed for the cultivation and enumeration of a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, yeasts, and molds. This medium is particularly useful for the plate count of heterotrophic microorganisms in water samples and complies with ISO 1133:2014 standards.
The agar is rich in yeast extract, providing the necessary nutrients to support the growth of both bacteria and fungi. It is commonly used in water quality testing and other microbiological applications requiring the cultivation of a broad spectrum of microorganisms.
