Oxoid™ Violet Red Bile Agar (VRBA) with Mug 500g

Oxoid™ Violet Red Bile Agar (VRBA) with MUG (500g) is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and enumeration of coliforms, particularly Escherichia coli, from food, water, and environmental samples. The inclusion of MUG (4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-glucuronide) in the medium enables the identification of E. coli based on its ability to hydrolyse the MUG substrate, resulting in fluorescence under UV light.
