Oxoid™ Tryptone Soya Agar (Soybean Casein Digest Agar) (Dehydrated) is a general-purpose, non-selective medium formulated for the cultivation of a wide variety of fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms. It supports the growth of both aerobes and anaerobes and is widely used in clinical, pharmaceutical, and food microbiology laboratories.

Supplied in a 3kg dehydrated powder format, this medium yields approximately 75 liters of prepared agar, making it ideal for high-throughput microbiological laboratories and quality control environments. It conforms to formulations detailed in international pharmacopoeias, including EP, USP, JP, and BP.

• Preparation: Suspend 40g in 1 liter of distilled water, bring to the boil with frequent agitation to dissolve completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 50°C, mix well, and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
