Description
Oxoid™ Sorbitol MacConkey Agar (500g) CM0813B is a selective medium used for the isolation and differentiation of Escherichia coli O157 and other Enterobacteriaceae from clinical, food, and environmental samples. The agar contains sorbitol as a carbohydrate source, which is utilized by most E. coli strains except for E. coli O157, which does not ferment sorbitol and forms colourless colonies.
