Oxoid™ Perfringens TSC Agar 500g

Oxoid™ Perfringens TSC Agar (500g) is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and enumeration of Clostridium perfringens from food, water, and environmental samples. This medium contains sodium thioglycolate, which creates an anaerobic environment that favours the growth of Clostridium perfringens. The inclusion of triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) helps differentiate C. perfringens by producing characteristic red colonies, making it easier to identify the pathogen based on its metabolic activity.
