Description
Oxoid™ OGYE Agar (500g) is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and enumeration of Candida and other yeasts from clinical, food, and environmental samples. The medium contains a combination of glucose and other nutrients that promote yeast growth, while the addition of oxytetracycline inhibits the growth of most bacterial species. This makes OGYE Agar ideal for the selective isolation of yeasts in mixed cultures, allowing for easy differentiation based on colony morphology.
