Oxoid™ Malt Extract (500g) is a highly purified, concentrated extract derived from malted barley, commonly used as a nutrient source in microbiological media. This extract is rich in carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins, and other growth factors, making it ideal for the cultivation of yeasts, moulds, and other fungi. It is often used in the preparation of media for the isolation and enumeration of yeasts and moulds in food, beverages, and environmental samples.
