Oxoid™ DG-18 Agar Base 500g

Oxoid™ DG-18 Agar Base (500g) is a selective medium designed for the isolation and enumeration of yeasts and moulds, particularly from food, water, and environmental samples. The medium is commonly used for the detection of fungi in food products and other samples where fungal contamination is a concern. DG-18 Agar Base is formulated with dichloran and other agents that suppress bacterial growth, creating an environment that promotes the growth of fungi while allowing easy differentiation based on colony morphology.
