Description
Oxoid™ Columbia Blood Agar Base (500g) is a highly nutritious, general-purpose medium used for the cultivation of fastidious organisms, particularly in clinical microbiology. When supplemented with sterile defibrinated blood, it becomes an enriched medium capable of supporting the growth of a wide variety of pathogenic bacteria and is commonly used for the observation of haemolytic reactions, such as alpha, beta, or gamma haemolysis.
