Description
Oxoid™ C.L.E.D. Medium (Dehydrated) is a differential medium designed for the isolation, enumeration, and differentiation of urinary tract pathogens from urine samples. The medium is formulated to support the growth of a wide range of microorganisms while minimizing the overgrowth of Proteus species by reducing electrolytes, thereby preventing swarming. The inclusion of L-cysteine enhances the growth of cystine-dependent coliforms. Lactose fermentation is indicated by a color change due to the pH indicator bromothymol blue.Thermo Fisher Assets
