Oxoid™ Buffered Peptone Water (BPW) (ISO) is a non-selective pre-enrichment medium used for the recovery and resuscitation of sub-lethally injured bacteria, particularly Salmonella spp., from food, animal feed, and environmental samples. It is designed to comply with ISO 6579 and other international food testing standards.

Supplied in a 2.5kg dehydrated powder format, BPW provides a consistent and reliable environment for the initial recovery of pathogens prior to selective enrichment and isolation.
