Oxoid™ Brilliant Green Agar Modified 2.5kg

Oxoid™ Brilliant Green Agar Modified (2.5kg) is a selective culture medium formulated for the isolation of Salmonella species (excluding Salmonella Typhi) from food, water, and clinical samples. The modified version of Brilliant Green Agar incorporates brilliant green dye to suppress the growth of Gram-positive organisms and many Gram-negative bacilli, while permitting the growth of Salmonella. The presence of lactose and sucrose allows for differentiation based on fermentation, aiding in the identification of Salmonella colonies by their characteristic red to pink appearance.
