Description
HiMedia Neomycin Sulphate Solution is a sterile-filtered antibiotic solution containing 10mg/ml neomycin in 0.9% normal saline. Designed for cell culture and microbiological laboratory applications, it provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
Neomycin sulphate acts by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis and can be used in cell culture to help control microbial contamination. It is also suitable as a selection agent for prokaryotic cells transformed with the neomycin resistance (neo) selectable marker gene.
The ready-to-use liquid formulation provides a convenient and consistent source of neomycin for laboratory workflows.
