Description
A selective enrichment medium for the isolation of Salmonella.
Formulated with ox bile and brilliant green to improve selectivity.
Contains novobiocin to inhibit Proteus species.
Prepared by suspending 89.5g of MKTTn in 1 liter of distilled water, boiling, cooling, and adding iodine-iodide solution and Novobiocin Selective Supplement SR0181.
Store the dehydrated medium at 10-30°C and use before the expiry date on the label.
Store the prepared medium at room temperature and use immediately.
