SGL Giolitti-Cantoni Broth Double Strength is a ready-to-use selective enrichment medium supplied in 10ml tubes for the detection and recovery of Staphylococcus aureus from food and environmental samples. Commonly used in food manufacturing, dairy production and microbiology quality control laboratories, the medium helps recover low numbers of stressed or damaged S. aureus cells whilst inhibiting many competing microorganisms. The double-strength formulation is particularly suited to testing procedures where larger sample volumes are introduced during enrichment.
