The genesig easy AnimalFINDER kit for ovis aries (Sheep) is designed for the real-time PCR detection of sheep derived material primarily in non-animal samples such as pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
The kit can also be used to detect animal DNA in food manufacturing wash downs or in highly processed foods. Intended for use with the genesig q16 real-time PCR instrument, the kit is designed to have the broadest detection profile possible whilst remaining specific to the sheep genome.
The sheep mitochondrial DNA primer and probe sequences in this kit have 100% homology with a broad range of sheep sequences based on a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis.
All AnimalFINDER kits have the same genesig q16 cycling protocol to allow multiple species to be tested during one run. The inclusion of an internal extraction control template allows the user to definitely confirm the absence of animal material when no animal DNA is present.
