Feeley Gorman Broth (F.G. Broth) 500g Each

Feeley Gorman Broth is a non-selective enrichment medium recommended for the cultivation and isolation of Legionella species.

The medium provides essential nutrients, including L-cysteine and iron salts, which are required to support the growth of Legionella. Acicase, HM Peptone B, L-cysteine hydrochloride and ferric pyrophosphate provide the necessary nutritional components.

Intended Use

Recommended for the cultivation of Legionella species from clinical and water samples.

Directions for Use

Suspend 22.65g of the medium in 1000ml of purified or distilled water. Heat if required until completely dissolved. Dispense into suitable tubes or flasks and sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.

Storage

Store in a tightly sealed container at 10–30°C, in a dry, well-ventilated area. Protect from extreme temperatures and moisture. Ensure the container is securely closed after use to prevent lump formation.
