Modern flush toilets mean that stool samples for the early detection of bowel cancer, laboratory analysis, acute gastrointestinal diseases and for the monitoring of illness can be taken from test subjects in a hygienic manner.

The patent-protected stool catcher is made from a tear-resistant paper strip which is coated at both ends with a contact adhesive which offers both good sticking power and easy removal.

During installation, care must be taken to ensure that the toilet seat is free from oily residue, creams or other contamination.

A self-expanding catching recess prevents liquid stool from slipping into the toilet.
After removing the sample, the catcher can be easily removed from the toilet seat and flushed away, along with the stool inside it.

If the stool is very watery, the sample should be taken promptly as the stool catcher is designed to disintegrate after a short while in contact with the flushing water. You should therefore also not allow it to come into contact with water before use.

The stool catcher is designed so that urine can still be passed without being caught in the collection device.
