Description
SGL CCDA (Campylobacter Charcoal Differential Agar) is a ready-to-use selective culture medium designed for the isolation of Campylobacter species from food, environmental, veterinary and clinical samples. Commonly used during food safety testing and contamination investigations, the medium supports the recovery of important foodborne pathogens including Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli, which are among the leading causes of bacterial gastroenteritis.
The blood-free formulation provides a selective environment that helps suppress competing microorganisms whilst encouraging the growth of target Campylobacter species. Supplied in convenient 90mm pre-poured plates, the medium is suitable for routine testing of food products, raw materials, environmental swabs and faecal specimens where Campylobacter detection is required.
