SGL Bismuth Sulphite Agar is a ready-to-use selective culture medium supplied in 90mm polypropylene plates for the isolation and detection of Salmonella species, particularly Salmonella Typhi. Commonly used in food microbiology, environmental monitoring and public health laboratories, the selective formulation suppresses many competing Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms whilst encouraging the growth of target Salmonella species.
