Neutralizing Buffer is advised for surface testing for the presence of microorganisms that can occur on dairy and food equipment that has been disinfected with chlorine or quaternary ammonium components. It can neutralize the bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect of chlorine and quaternary ammonium compounds. And this is important to demonstrate accurate detection of the presence of potentially dangerous micro-organisms.

The sponge is supplied in a writable, double-laminated sample bag with wire closure for safe transport to the lab. The sample bag is sterilized as well as the sponge range. Produced in the USA, ISO 9001: 2008 certified.

The biocide-free cellulose sponge is pre-moistened with Neutralizing Buffer. The sponge has no influence on microorganisms, if kept refrigerated, up to 48 hours for Salmonella and E. coli and 72 hours for Listeria.
