Biological indicator vials provide an easy-to-read visual colour change within 48 hours. The Attest Biological Indicator 1262 is designed for use with 250°F/121°C gravity and 270°F/132°C vacuum-assisted steam sterilizers and, when used with the 3M™ Attest Biological Indicator Incubator 116, helps prevent recalls in every cycle.

These indicators are suitable for 270°F/132°C vacuum-assisted or 250°F/121°C gravity displacement steam sterilisation cycles, featuring a 48-hour readout and distinctive brown caps. 3M™ Attest Biological indicators effectively monitor steam sterilisation and produce results within 48 hours. Each self-contained indicator includes a Geobacillus stearothermophilus spore strip, a sealed glass ampule with growth medium, a bromocresol purple pH indicator system, a brown cap with sterilant penetration holes, and a colour-changing process indicator. After sterilisation, crushing the vial combines the growth media with the spore strip, with a yellow colour change indicating surviving spores. Recommended for monitoring sterilization at 250°F/121°C gravity displacement and 270°F/132°C vacuum-assisted steam cycles.
