Designed for specialized applications, this pH electrode features a flat-tipped glass body with an open junction design and a BNC connector. It is particularly well-suited for measuring pH on surfaces like skin, leather, paper, and emulsions. Supplied with a 1-meter cable, the electrode's unique open junction design includes a viscolene (hard gel) electrolyte layer devoid of silver chloride (AgCl) between the sample and the internal reference cell. The open junction design is specifically crafted to resist clogging, and the flat tip of the electrode makes it ideal for pH measurements on surfaces such as agar plates.
