Oxoid™ Violet Red Bile (Lactose) Agar (Dehydrated) is a selective and differential medium designed for the detection and enumeration of coliform organisms in water, food, and dairy products. The formulation incorporates lactose, bile salts, neutral red, and crystal violet to promote the growth of coliforms while inhibiting Gram-positive bacteria.

Supplied in a 2.5 kg dehydrated powder format, this medium is ideal for high-throughput microbiological laboratories and quality control environments.
