Oxoid™ Violet Red Bile Glucose Agar (ISO) is a selective medium used for the enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae in food products, animal feed, and environmental samples. It conforms to ISO 21528 and is commonly used in routine food safety and hygiene monitoring.

- Selective Agents: Bile salts and crystal violet inhibit Gram-positive organisms

- Preparation: Suspend 41.5g in 1 litre of distilled water, heat to dissolve, bring to the boil, cool to 45–50°C, and pour plates. Do not autoclave.
- Yield: Approximately 60 litres
- Storage: Store at 10–30°C in a dry environment
