Oxoid™ Fraser Broth Base 2.5 Kg

Oxoid™ Fraser Broth Base 2.5 Kg is a selective enrichment medium used for detecting Listeria species, especially Listeria monocytogenes, in food and environmental samples. It works by creating conditions that allow Listeria to multiply while inhibiting other bacteria. When combined with Fraser Broth Supplement (SR0156), it becomes fully selective and is widely used in ISO-compliant Listeria testing protocols. It's commonly used in food safety testing and follows international standards (ISO 11290-1). When mixed with water and sterilized, it turns black if Listeria is present—making it easy to spot.

Yield:
One 2.5 Kg container makes approximately 43.5 litres of ready-to-use broth (based on 57.3 g per litre).
