Oxoid™ Chloramphenicol Selective Supplement (1 x 50mg) is a selective supplement designed to inhibit bacterial growth in microbiological media. It is commonly used to suppress the growth of Gram-positive and certain Gram-negative bacteria, allowing the growth of specific microorganisms. This makes it ideal for the selective isolation of organisms such as fungi and bacteria from clinical, environmental, or food samples.
