Description
Oxoid™ Brilliance™ Listeria Agar (ISO) (500g) is a selective chromogenic medium used for the isolation, enumeration, and presumptive identification of Listeria species, including Listeria monocytogenes, from food and environmental samples. Developed in accordance with ISO 11290-1:2017 and ISO 11290-2:2017 standards, the medium differentiates Listeria spp. by X-glucoside hydrolysis, producing blue-green colonies. L. monocytogenes and L. ivanovii are further distinguished by lecithinase activity, visible as an opaque white halo around colonies.
