Description
Oxoid™ Bile Aesculin Agar (500g) CM0888B is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and identification of Enterococcus species and group D Streptococcus from clinical, food, and environmental samples. The medium contains bile salts to inhibit the growth of non-enterococcal organisms and aesculin, which reacts with Enterococcus species, producing a characteristic blackened reaction in the presence of bile.
