SGL Legionella BCYE w/o L-Cysteine 90mm PP Plates Pk 10

SGL Legionella BCYE without L‑Cysteine 90mm Pre-poured Plates (8060) are ready-to-use laboratory culture plates used as a control medium when testing for Legionella bacteria. These plates are specially formulated without L‑cysteine, an essential nutrient required for Legionella to grow.
Because Legionella cannot grow on this medium, it helps laboratories confirm that any suspected colonies growing on standard BCYE agar are genuinely Legionella species, improving the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Supplied in robust 90mm plastic (PP) Petri dishes, these plates are ideal for routine water testing and microbiological analysis.

Intended for use as a control agar in Legionella testing it is suitable for laboratories operating in accordance with ISO 11731. Use of BCYE without L‑cysteine supports confirmation of Legionella species by demonstrating cysteine dependency.
