Description
SafeFAST Elite Class I Microbiological Safety Cabinets have been adopted worldwide in use for personal and environmental protection, handling low and moderate pathogenic agents in a wide range of disciplines.
ECS™ Eco Controlling System
The innovative ECS™ microprocessor leverages advanced methods for integrated management of all core ventilation and filtration functions. It autonomously regulates key components of the filtration and ventilation system, compensating for pressure drops and maintaining power balance. By combining an AC motor-blower with certified low-pressure-drop filters, the ECS™ system optimizes power consumption, thus reducing CO2 emissions.
Silent Operation
Designed for minimal noise, the TNT plenum, electric motor structures with antivibration mounts, and air handling software ensure exceptionally quiet operation. The sound-pressure levels are significantly lower than those required by the EN:12469 European Standard for Microbiological Safety Cabinets. The fan system prevents any part of the cabinet from being under positive contaminated pressure, protecting both the environment and personnel from bio-contamination.
Anti-Bacterial Coating
The cabinet features the exclusive Dupont™ ALESTA™ anti-bacterial coating with Ag+ cations, which prevents microbial contamination and inhibits long-term surface growth.
Easy Handling and Maintenance
The cabinet is designed to fit through standard 800 mm wide doorways, with an overall depth that can be reduced to approximately 777 mm by removing the rear panel. All maintenance operations can be performed from the front of the cabinet.
Safety and Convenience
The cabinet includes automatic safety service connections for gas and vacuum. Models 209 and 212 come with one electrical socket, while models 215 and 218 are equipped with two sockets.
Ergonomic Design
The angled sloping (7°) front safety-glass sash provides optimal visibility of the workspace. The electrically operated sash can be fully opened or closed by pressing touch-sensitive keys. The standard working sash height is set at 200 mm, with alternative settings (250 to 160 mm) available upon request. The entire front of the cabinet, including the sash mechanism, can be hinged upward for thorough cleaning and decontamination.
