Description
Harlequin® membrane Lactose Glucuronide Agar (mLGA) is a medium for the detection and identification of E. coli and coliforms from water samples. Harlequin membrane Lactose Glucuronide Agar (mLGA) was developed as a modification of mLSB for the recovery and identification of coliforms and E. coli.
Preparation
- Suspend 88 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water.
- Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute to completely dissolve the medium.
- Autoclave at 115oC for 10 minutes.
- Cool to 45-50°C.
