Description
Columbia Agar with Chocolate Horse Blood is an enriched, non-selective medium designed for the cultivation of fastidious organisms, including Haemophilus influenzae and Neisseria species. The “chocolate” form is produced by heating horse blood, releasing nutrients such as hemin (X factor) and NAD (V factor) essential for the growth of these organisms.
