Description
Brilliant Green Bile Broth 2% is used for the detection of coliform bacteria in water, food, and dairy products in a laboratory setting. Brilliant Green Bile Broth 2% is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
Preparation
- Dissolve 40 g of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Distribute into bottles or tubes with inverted Durham tubes.
- Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. To avoid entrapment of bubbles in the fermentation tubes, allow the autoclave to cool at least to 75°C before opening.
