Oxoid™ Baird-Parker Agar 500g

Oxoid™ Baird-Parker Agar (500g) is a selective and differential medium designed for the isolation and enumeration of Staphylococcus aureus from food, environmental, and clinical samples. The medium contains egg yolk emulsion and tellurite, which allow for the identification of S. aureus by its characteristic black colonies, often with a zone of clearing due to lecithinase production. This agar is particularly useful for detecting S. aureus in food safety applications.
